Holy Scripture speaks to us powerfully in our generation when it declares Proverbs14v 9 "FOOLS MAKE A MOCK AT SIN: BUT AMONG THE RIGHTEOUS THERE IS FAVOUR" and again in Paul's letter to the Galatians ch 6 v 7 "BE NOT DECEIVED; GOD IS NOT MOCKED: FOR WHATSOEVER A MAN SOWETH, THAT SHALL HE ALSO REAP".
In the city of Belfast on Saturday 4th August there was the Annual Sodomite Gay Pride Parade which appears to be more wicked and evil each year with few to cry aloud for the testimony of our Lord Jesus Christ.
This year an extremely distasteful offensive and blasphemous placard was displayed
which declared "Jesus is a Fag" close by Belfast City Hall as the parade passed by.
As some Christians attempted to witness with scripture posters, one had a poster
snatched from him and stolen and another with the text from Proverbs, had graffiti
scribbled on it. These believers had verbal abuse hurled at them and were jostled as
if to be denied the right to be at City Hall declaring the Biblical message?
The Parades Commission, established in the heat of Ulster politics several years ago, needs to be addressed by letter from individual citizens and indeed by churches because there is a strong case that great offence has been given and Civil liberty denied! The matter of this parade will we understand be considered in November this year as the one due for August 2008 is considered. Christians therefore need to act now in an effort to be "SALT AND LIGHT". Matthew 5 v 13
