Christian Righteousness   (reply) Posted by: RaynaRenee

And the chiefest thing that God requireth of man is, that he giveth unto him his glory and his divinity;
that is to say, that he takaeth him not for an idol, but for God, who regardeth him, heareth him, sheweth mercy unto him, helpeth him.

Wherefore there can be no greater or more perfect religion in the world, nor more acceptable service unto God, than faith is.

'Abraham was made strong in faith, and gave glory unto God, being fully assured, that whatsoever  God had promised he was able to preform, and therefore it was imputed
to him for righteousness." Romans 4:20

Faith and trust in God ,and his word brings glory to Him.

All this is from Martin Luther's Commentary on Ga...

Christian Righteousness Posted by: RaynaRenee

This is from Martin Luther's  "Commentary on Galatians"

"Christian righteousness consisteth in these two things:  namely in faith which giveth glory unto God, and in God's imputation.  For faith is weak and therefore
God's imputation must needs be joined withal:  that is to say, that God will not lay to our charge the remnant of sin, that he will not punish it, nor condemn us for
it; but will cover it and freely forive it, as though it were nothing at all l; not for our sake, neither for our worthiness and works, but for Jesus
Christ's sake in whom we believe.

Thus a Christian man is both righteous and a sinner, holy and profane, an enemy of God an...

I was reading on MSNBC via you tube that they might be attempting to arrest the pope in England when he comes to England for covering up the pedophile
priest in his church.

Wouldn't that be great!!

Vatican Confirms Benedict XVI's Upcoming UK Trip

Scottish Bishops Invite All to Participate

VATICAN CITY, JULY 5, 2010 (Zenit.org).- A Vatican spokesman is confirming Benedict XVI's September
16-19 trip to the United Kingdom.

In a statement released today, Jesuit Father Federico Lombardi, director of the Vatican press office,
affirmed that "accepting the invitation of Her
Majesty Elizabeth II, Queen of the United Kingdom, and of the bishops' conferences of England and
Wales, and of Scotland, His Holiness Benedict
XVI will make an apostolic trip to the United Kingdom from 16 to 19 September."

The priest noted that the Pope will visit t...

Papacy Set to Recapture England

Dear Friend,
Pope Benedict XVI will be visiting the UK September 16-19th. Government and Church leaders are already
welcoming the upcoming event. Significantly,
the visit comes less than a year after December 1, 2009, when the Treaty of Lisbon went into effect in the
European Union. One of the major features
of the Treaty is that it “introduces a single legal personality for the Union.” Consequently the UK has to a
large extent been subsumed under the legal
entity of the European Union. Now in our time, 477 years after King Henry VIII opened the conflict with the
Papacy, the Pope comes ...

Faith Like Potatoes, or Biblical Faith?

by Shaun Willcock

In September 2006 a new religious movie premiered in South Africa, called Faith Like Potatoes. I say a religious movie rather than
a truly Christian movie,
because although it claims to be based on the life story of South African farmer and Charismatic evangelist Angus Buchan, it is not a
biblically sound Christian film.
As it is a South African film and not a Hollywood production, it will have more of an impact in South Africa than perhaps anywhere else,
especially as it is being
shown not only in cinemas, but in town halls and church buildings across the country. It has been selected for two international film
festival...

their meetings, and all the hooplah!
I do not believe the gospel of jesus was preached at all.    I believe it was all a gimmick, a delusion,  and some
people fell for it.

The Judgements of God   (reply) Posted by: RaynaRenee

As we look at all the calamities in the world today, if one is a student of the bible and is
a true Christian, then one can see that all the signs are warning people that the end of sin and
the world is near.

Judgment is coming on this world as surely as it did in the days of Noah.
God is long suffering, but sin and wickedness will come to an end, as people today refuse
to believe in God, and  do not repent and turn from their evil ways.

Earthquakes, violence, floods, wars, fighting, people dying, atheism, idolatry, man worshipping
himself, rather than his creator, the increase of knowledge, but not the knowlege of God.
All these are s signs of the end of the world...

Are we commanded to keep a day holy?   (reply) Posted by: RaynaRenee
Date Posted: June 12, 2010, 8:20am
"Does God require us to observe the Sabbath and other holy days of the Old Testament? The Sabbath was a sign pointing to Jesus,
who is our rest. Since Jesus has come as our Savior and Lord, God no longer requires us to observe the Sabbath day and other holy
days of the Old Testament. Does God require the church to worship together on any specific days? God requires Christians to worship
together. He has not specified any particular day. The church worships together especially on Sunday because Christ rose from the dead
on Sunday."

WASHINGTON, May 31, 2010 (LifeSiteNews.com) - President Barack Obama has for the second
year in a row issued a proclamation declaring June "Lesbian, Gay,
Bisexual, and Transgender Pride Month."  While prior to his leaving office President George W. Bush
issued a Sanctity of Life Day proclamation for 2009, such a
proclamation was rejected by President Obama for 2010.

Are we commanded to keep a day holy?   (reply) Posted by: RaynaRenee
Date Posted: May 26, 2010, 12:29am
William, it is not commanded that we keep any particular day "holy" in the New Covenant.  Jesus is our Sabbath, and he is our rest before God.
We are accepted in the Beloved, not in ourselves.

No man is accepted before God by works of the law but my hia mercy and grace given to us in Jesus.  I choose to worship God 7 days  a week, as I only
work two days a week.  Sitting around resting doing nothing is not good.  We are to do good evey day of the week.

Like I said, it is not possible for eveyone to keep the Sabbath like the Israelites did.  Some people have to work.  Going to church does not make
one holy.  Keeping ...

Quoted from RaynaRenee
I thought we were discussing keeping a sabbath day holy, by not working on it, as commanded.  Maybe you would like to explain
what good is and what it is not,  I mean go into detail.

I dont think that there is much point in me trying to explain to you the do's and dont's of keeping the Sabbath as you have obviously decided that it is not necessary to keep God's law and observe His Sabbath as an holy day. I would also advise you to study Romans 14 concerning the Sabbath in conjunction with the rest of scripture concerning it ,or else invest in a good commentary. Again ,no one was ever, and will never be saved but by the blood of Christ. Its efficacy reaches back to the beginning of time , and fo

Evolutionary Scientists Find a Surprise!

Matthew 24:44

Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour when you do not expect Him.

According to the Bible's history, human beings were created perfectly by God about 6,000 years ago. We should note that this means we were
not only morally perfect, but genetically perfect as well. According to evolutionists, our ancestors split off from the monkeys millions of years
ago. Both viewpoints agree that each generation of human beings adds mutations to the ongoing human gene pool.

How many mutations are added by each human generation? Researchers with the University of Sussex and the University of Edinburgh
looked for t...
