Religion or Salvation

Religion or Salvation - Which Have You?
Acts 4:12, "Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men,
whereby we must be saved."
At certain seasons of the year, we find many religious celebrations being conducted. We find that the natural man wants
to be religious and at times will do many things thinking that he is performing an act of worship unto God. But the
Word of God teaches that religion is not salvation! The Word of God teaches that you can be religious and miss heaven!
The text teaches us that there is not salvation in any other name than the name of Jesus Christ, the Son of God.
The text teaches us that there is none other name given under heaven whereby we can be saved. You are saved by
Jesus Christ or you are not saved!
How clear and concise: There should be neither confusion nor contradiction. There are many names under heaven in
which we can find religion; but salvation can be found in one only; and that is the name of Jesus Christ.
There is no salvation in priests, prophets, penance or prayers, but only in Christ. You may have your service and
sacraments, churches and charities, tears and treasure, ritual and reformation, but all are powerless to produce eternal life.
The Word of God tells us in 1 John 5:11,12, "God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He that hath the
Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son hath not life."

    Men and women are willing to give head knowledge to the claims of Christianity, but they refuse to accept in their
hearts the Christ of Christianity.

    Men and women are willing to take the high place in the work and ritual of the church; while refusing to take the
low place of guilty sinners needing a sinners salvation.

    Men and women are willing to believe in the moral precepts of God's Word, as based on the Ten Commandments;
while refusing to believe in, rest on, and receive God's Son as Saviour to their souls.

    RELIGION is the improvement of the old nature. SALVATION is the imparting of a new nature through receiving
Jesus Christ as Saviour and Lord. The Word of God tells us in John 1:12, "As many as received him (Christ) to them
gave he power to become the sons of God."

    RELIGION clothes us with the robes of our own righteousness and God tells us in Isaiah that our righteousness
is as a filthy rag. SALVATION clothes us in the perfect righteousness of Christ, which alone can make us acceptable
in the sight of God. God's Word tells us in Titus 3:5, "Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according
to His mercy He saved us."

    RELIGION is what man does for God; SALVATION is what God does for man. Isaiah 53:6 tells us, "All we like sheep
have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on him (Christ) the iniquity of us all."

    RELIGION says: Something in my hand I bring. SALVATION says: Nothing in my hand I bring. Ephesians 2:8,9 says,
"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man
should boast." RELIGION is trusting in a work we do. SALVATION is trusting in a work that has been done. Hebrews 10:10,
"By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all."

    RELIGION depends on our behaving. SALVATION depends on our believing. Acts 16:31, "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ
and thou shalt be saved, and thy house."

    RELIGION says we must act our best. SALVATION says we must accept God's best. Romans 6:23, "The gift of God is
eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." RELIGION depends on the sufficiency of character. SALVATION depends on
the Sacrifice of the Cross. 1 Corinthians 1:18, "For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but
unto us which are saved it is the power of God."

    RELIGION is striving for a better attainment. SALVATION is secured through a perfect atonement. 1 Peter 1:18,19,
"Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation
received by tradition from your fathers; but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot."

    RELIGION tries to bring us from darkness to light. SALVATION does bring us from death unto Life. John 5:24, "He that
heareth my word, and believeth on Him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation;
but is passed from death unto life."

    RELIGION says we must be found in God's house. SALVATION says we must "Be found in him (Christ), not having"
our "own righteousness which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ." Philippians 3:9.
Again the text: "Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among
men, whereby we must be saved."

    Do you have religion or salvation? If you only have religion, then you will miss heaven and spend eternity apart from
God and His Son in a place of torment. If you have salvation, you now have the promise of eternal life with God and His
Son forevermore.

Joe.

The scriptures state that all men are sinners, we are all condemned, and only worthy of eternal damnation.

One sin will condemn you, even the sin of having one evil thought. We have to keep all the law all the time are we are under it's curse.

He that is without sin, let him cast the first stone!!

That is why we need a righteousness without us, that is not in us, but in Jesus Christ alone, that we may be forgiven, and justified before God alone in heaven. This righteousness alone is without sin, spotless, without blemish, perfect, and more glorious than we can behold.

God Himself provided the lamb of God that takes away the sins of the world. Our sins were placed upon Him, and he lived, suffered, and died for sinners.

His righteousness is His life that He lived on earth, as God and man, His suffering and death, and His faithfulness, is imputed to the sinner that God may reckon him righteous in His sight, and cast his sins into the depth of the sea.

For those that believe in Jesus, God grants to them eternal life, and the Holy Spirit to be His comfort and guide in this life. God no longer sees their sins, as Jesus is their righteousness, sanctification and redemption before Him. His righteousness is imputed to sinner, and the Father accepts them as His sos and daughters. .

Now here is the answer. Jesus is in Heaven at the right hand of God, He is not here in any bread and wine, and no sinful man can call Jesus down fro heaven to be sacrificed again and again. Our works have no merit with God, as we are all sinners, and sinners cannot produce sinless works.

IT IS FINISHED!! A one time sacrifice of Jesus, never to be sacrificed again.
When God declares you righteous in His sight, it will never be changed. There is no more sacrifice for sin.
It is Jesus that keeps you in the hollow of His hand, not your endeavor or your good works.

GOD DOES NOT LIE!!
If God says it, man cannot change it!! Man may condemn us, but it is God alone that justifies us, and it will not be changed!! God does not make a mistake.

Those whom God chooses to reveal this truth of His Son, He keeps under the shadow of His wings, with the everlasting arms beneath him. His testimony of righteousness and justification to the sinner is final and complete. You can believe it!! Trust in God's word.

The goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance.

Do not refuse to believe. God has given His all in Jesus, do not turn away.

Repent and believe the gospel!!

TO GOD BE ALL THE GLORY!!!

RaynaRenee

Romans 3:
19] Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.
[20] Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.

[23] For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

Galatians 3:
[22] But the scripture hath concluded all under sin

Romans 7:[15] For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I.
[16] If then I do that which I would not, I consent unto the law that it is good.
[17] Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.
[18] For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not.
[19] For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do.
[20] Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.

So what is the answer if all men are born sinners, and we remain sinners in our lives because of the inherited sinful nature of Adam?  As Paul states even after he has become a follower of Jesus Christ, sin remains in him, even when he tries to do good?  How can a sinner be declared righteous BEFORE GOD?  Remember it is God that justifies the sinner, NOT MAN.  IT IS JESUS WHO IS THE JUDGE, NOT MAN.
GOD KNOWS THE HEART, NOT MAN.

John 3:
[14] And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:
[15] That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
[16] For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
[17] For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
[18] He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

John 6:
[28] Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God?
[29] Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.

Romans 3:
[20] Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.
[21] But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;
[22] Even the RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD WHICH IS BY F AITH OF JESUS CHRISTÂ UNTO ALL AND UPON ALL THEM THAT BELIEVE.
[23] For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
[24] Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:
[25] Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;
[26] To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.
[27] Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith.
[28] Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.

Rom.4
[1] What shall we say then that Abraham our father, as pertaining to the flesh, hath found?
[2] For if Abraham were justified by works, he hath whereof to glory; but not before God.
[3] For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness.
[4] Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt.
[5] But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.
[6] Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works,
[7] Saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered.
[8] Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin.

iT IS GOD WHO JUSTIFIES BY FAITH WITHOUT THE WORKS OF MAN.  IT IS ALL BECAUSE OF HIS GREAT MERCY AND GRACE IN HIMSELF THAT HE CHOOSES TO SAVE THE UNGODLY IN JESUS, BY THE IMPUTED RIGHtEOUSNESS OF GOD HIMSELF.

If you choose not believe in Jesus, you are under the wrath of God.  He has provided the way, but who will accept it and believe?

RaynaRenee

Yes, it is true, all men are sinners without exception. From the least to the greatest in man's eyes, they are all sinners in God's eyes. We all stand condemned in His presence except for the mercy and grace of the Father given to us freely in Jesus.

In Jesus we have perfect, spotless, unblemished righteousness, which is the life of Jesus, who is God, imputed unto us, and the forgiveness of all our sins through the sacrifice of Himself.

Romans 3:
[20] Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.
[21] But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;
[22] Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:
[23] For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
[24] Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:
[25] Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;

Therefore, if we do not confess to being sinners, we have no redemption in Jesus. God, who is just in all His ways and merciful, has set forth Jesus for all that accept Him by Faith as their Redeemer, Lord, and Savior. To those that believe His word in the scriptures by faith alone, are given eternal life, now and forever. The price has been paid for their souls, and the way has been prepared for their justification before the father by Jesus alone, and His righteousness imputed unto them. The mercy and grace of God abide on them.

For those that hear and reject this message of mercy and grace, they place themselves under the wrath of God. The Great God of the Universe offers His mercy to sinners through His Son. May you hear and believe His word that you too may have eternal life.

May we all repent and acknowledge God's great mercy and graceiousness in the gift of His Son. His love has captured my heart, may it capture yours also. You can come to know God through the study of the scriptures, and prayer through the intercesssion of Jesus Christ, at the Father's right hand.

We can do nothing to save ourselves as we are all the children of Adam and Eve, sinners by birth. Therefore, we are saved alone through the imputed righteousness of Christ without our works. When we accept God's Son, the father accepts us.

This is the true gospel of Jesus.

This is the last message of mercy that is to be given to this world. All that hear it, repent and believe will be saved to life eternal. Whatever we have to give up in this life to walk with Him, will be nothing compared to what He gave up for us.

May you take the Scriptures and read them, to learn of the love, nercy, graciousness, and humility of God for our lost world.

Jas.5
[11] Behold, we count them happy which endure. Ye have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord; that the Lord is very pitiful, and of tender mercy.

Pss.86
[15] But thou, O Lord, art a God full of compassion, and gracious, longsuffering, and plenteous in mercy and truth.

2Pet.3
[9] The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

May we honor God by believing His word about His Son in the scriptures, and set to His seal that His word is true!!

RaynaRenee
