For those that believe the gospel of Jesus there is much admonition in the word of God. But by the obedience of it, we do not add to the righteousness that is of faith in Jesus, and justifies us before the Father in heaven.

We are sinners, and always will be in this life, sinning continually. One small sin, could condemn us to hell, before God, that is why we need the righteousness of another, a perfect righteousness to justify us before God, which is the righteousness of Jesus imputed unto us.

Our sanctification, which is never sinless in this life, does not justify us before God or add to the righteousness of faith. It cannot be added to the completed salvation of God for us in Jesus, who is at the Father's right hand in heaven.

Our salvation is all of God's mercy and grace given to us freely without cost, a gift. a priceless gift, of the Father Himself to us as sinners. We are to accept it by faith alone, and when we do we justified before Him. Faith, Repentance, regeneratjion are the fruits of believing and resting in God's word to us in Jesus.

But beware, we cannot look to ourselves or others for sinlessness in this life, as we are all sinners, and we will all fail and fall short of what we should be. Jesus, alone is the Rock of our Salvation, our Refuge, our, Righteousness, sanctification and redemption before the Father in heaven. The more we come to know God, the more sin we will see in ourselves. That is why the Pharisee thought they were so righteous, they did not know God, but looked for righteousness in themselves, to display before others, to receive honor from men, and not God. They did not realize they were sinners just like everyone else depending on God's mercy and grace to them as sinners.

Let us walk humbly before our fellow men and God, knowing we are only sinners, saved by God's amazing grace in Jesus, and not of works,

Our life on earth is a walk of faith from start to finish. We look for a city whose builder and maker is God, the New Jerusalem. This earth is not our home, and we are pilgrims and strangers here, just passing through this weary land. Let us keep our hearts and minds on Jesus, and acknowledge Him before others, and offer thanks and praise for his wonderful mercy and grace given to us freely in Jesus.

RaynaRenee

Acts 5:29
[29] Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men.
[30] The God of our fathers raised up Jesus, whom ye slew and hanged on a tree.
[31] Him hath God exalted with his right hand to be a Prince and a Saviour, for to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins.

It is through the sacrifice of Jesus, and His righteousness that is imputed to the sinner, that we receive forgiveness of sins by faith alone.

1John.1
[7] But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

That is why Jesus came into the world, to die for our sins, and to be raised for our justification by His merits, which were completed at Calvary.

Isa.53
[1] Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the LORD revealed?
[2] For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him.
[3] He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.
[4] Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.
[5] But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
[6] All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.
[7] He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth.
[8] He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare his generation? for he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he stricken.
[9] And he made his grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death; because he had done no violence, neither was any deceit in his mouth.
[10] Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand.
[11] He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities.
[12] Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his soul unto death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.

II Cor. 5:
[18] And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;
[19] To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
[20] Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.
[21] For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

Our sins were imputed unto Jesus, and His righteousness is imputed unto us, that we may be justified before God, our Holy Father, by His wonderful grace and mercy, through Jesus alone, so that He may receive all the glory alone. Jesus is the Holy Father's gift to our dying sin sick world.

We are only the recipients of God's mercy and grace in the free and gracious gift of His Son Jesus, received by faith alone.

Let him that readeth let him understand the plain words of God. To God be all the glory!!!
RaynaRenee

I am a Christian but I realize I am also a sinner, saved by the pure mercy and grace of God in Jesus.

I have done nothing for God to choose to save me, but if the truth were known, and God would judge me without the covering of the Righteousness of Jesus, I would be cast to Hell, as I am a sinner.

So I depend on the mercy and grace of God in Jesus.

That is not saying that I want and desire to sin, No, never, but I have a sinful nature that taints all I do, even the good, and my "good" is never enough. That makes me depend more and more on the imputed righteousness of God to me, and, am thankful for it more and more every day. The more I come to know of the beauty of Jesus, the more sinful I see myself to be.

How is it with the rest of you?

Before coming to know the gospel of Jesus, I thought I was pretty good, almost sinless, and would never fall, but I was under the burden to be perfect every day. And that is a heavy burden!! Now I know the gospel of Jesus, and such a burden has fallen from me. and I now realize what a undeserving sinner I am, and look to Jesus for my Righteousness before God. I know He is in heaven interceding for me, but not for me only but for all that have accepted Him by faith alone.

I look forward to the day when this sinful nature will be removed and we can be like Him forever and ever, living in peace, love, and the light of presence for ever more, and enjoying the fellowship of angels, and all my loved ones that God has chosen and saved, and all the redeemed of all ages. What a day that will be.!!

To God be the Glory for all He has done for sinful man in Jesus!!

RaynaRenee

Can a man that is sinful, keep the law of God perfectly as Jesus kept it, every jot and tittle of it. Even his thoughts and motives were pure all the time, from his birth to his death. He never had a sinful thought. There was no unrighteousness in Him. He keep every word of the sermon on the mount, every command in the scriptures. Even went above and beyond that, as He loved his enemies and gave His life for them, even though they were undeserving?

Can who equal that righteousness? Can sinful man ever in this life produce such a righteousness in himself? even with the Holy Spirit? Can sinful man produce such a love? This is what is demanded in the scriptures. Be ye holy as I am holy? Now, can sinful man fulfill this command?

Can a sinful man keep a day holy?? Someone please accept the challenge and tell me how.

RaynaREnee

The Sinfulness of Man

I do not believe people understand how wicked their hearts are. So I am going to give several verses from scripture.

Ecclesiastes 7: 20
For there is not a just man upon earth, that doeth good, and sinneth not.

II Chronicles 6:....for there is no man which sinneth not...

Jeremiah 17: 9
The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked; who can know it?

Romans 3: 10-19
As it is written, there is none righteous, no, not one;
There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God.
They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.
Their throat is an open sepulchre; with their tongues they have used decit; the poison of asps is under their lips,
Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness;
Their feet re switft to shed blood
Destruction and misery are in their ways;
And the way of peace have they not known
There is no fear of God before their eyes.

Ephesians 2: 1
"And you hath He quickened, who were dead in trepasses and sins
"Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, by grace ye are saved"

Even Paul states after He becomes a follower of Jesus:
"I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me."

I remember reading a quote from a preacher of the first awakening here in the USA. I believe it is Jonathan Edwards, or George Whitfield. He states, that even our prayers need to be repented of, because they are not what they should be.

This is why we need a Savior, and His name is Jesus. He is our Saviour, our Righteousness, our Sanctification and redemption before the Father, our one and only mediator, that we may be accepted in Him. Our faith in Him is counted for righteousness. We are not righteous ever in this life before God, by our works, our love, or faithfulness, or anything in us, as we are sinners and fall short of what we should be. His righteousness is imputed tjo us, and the Father accepts us or accounts as righteous, even though we are not so in ourselves. God calls those things that be not as those they were.

The sinful nature will be with us until Jesus comes again, and our bodies are changed to be like His. Then the sinful nature will not longer impede us in our life, and we will be free from all evil. What a day that will be.

Remember the story of the Pharisee and the Publican???

Jesus said the Publican went down to his house justified, because he admitted to his sinfulness, and asked forgiveness, whereas the Pharisee felt he was righteous, and so were his works. He felt he lacked nothing, as he had whatever the law demanded of Him, even love!!! He felt he was righteous in Himself before God.

We are all sinners, and always will be in this life, and are saved not because of anything in us, our love, our behavior, our dedication, our faithfulness, but in the unmerited mercy and grace of God given to us freely in Jesus.

We are kept by the power of God unto salvation in Jesus.
We are accepted in the Beloved as we continue to have a sinful nature which pollutes all we do, even the good, and are only ACCOUNTED righteous, as we all fall short, and do not live or love perfectly in ourselves continuously before God. Whoever thinks he does is deceived.

"For as many as are of othe works of the law are under the curse; for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in ALL things which are written in the book of the law to do them.

"Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus." Romans 3:21

RaynaRenee
