Mike Gendron March 23 at 7:06pm Reply
It occurred to me that the evangelicals who signed the Manhattan Declaration may not be aware
of the hypocrisy of Catholics who helped draft the unity accord. These Catholics want us to be
cobelligerents with them on protecting human life yet their religious leaders ordered hundreds of
thousands of Reformers put to death for refusing to bow their knee to the pope. They want us to
help defend the institution of marriage to exclude homosexual unions, yet over 50% of their
clergy are homosexual. They want us to stand with them on religious liberty, yet in countries
where Catholicism is in the majority, they resist and oppose the right for people to join other
faiths or religions.

Definitely hypocrisy!!

RaynaRenee

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This is an e-mail from 'Proclaiming The Gospel Ministries with Evangelist Mike Gendron'

Message:
Greetings Friends of Proclaiming the Gospel Ministry,

A coalition of 150 Catholic, Orthodox and evangelical leaders, united “as Christians”, are calling
for everyone to take a stand against abortion, same-sex marriage and anything that betrays
their religious beliefs. On November 20th, a 4,700-word document called the Manhattan Declaration:
A Call of Christian Conscience was released (http://manhattandeclaration.org/). The document was
drafted by Chuck Colson and Princeton University professor Robert P. George, a Roman Catholic.
This is clearly another attempt to bring ecumenical unity to all of professing Christianity and blur the
lines that separate apostates from true Christians.

Many of the signers of the Evangelicals and Catholics Together Accord have given their name to this
accord as well. Purposefully, the Gospel is never defined or explained in the Manhattan Declaration.
This is because of the contradictory and opposing views on the issue of justification and salvation
that
are held by the signatories. The implication throughout the document is that Roman Catholics,
Eastern
Orthodox, and Protestant Evangelicals share a common faith. This blatantly ignores the fact that
there can be never be unity between true Christianity and apostate Christianity, between believers
and
unbelievers or between light and darkness (2 Cor. 6:14-1.

Whereas it is good to unite as co-belligerents with a united voice to fight moral and political issues,
any accord that attempts to overlook, dismiss, nullify or compromise the Gospel is antithetical to the
command for all Christians to earnestly contend for the faith. We can never deny the profound
importance of protecting the life of every baby and the sanctity of marriage between one man and
one woman. We must earnestly contend against those who seek to destroy both. However, we must
remember that this is a spiritual battle which can only be won through fervent prayer and the
proclamation of the one and only true Gospel, a Gospel that is denied by every Catholic priest
when he offers the Eucharistic Christ upon his altar for the forgiveness of sins. Charles Spurgeon
said "To pursue union at the expense of truth is treason to the Lord Jesus".

(Note: Roman Catholic leaders already disobey civil and criminal laws by hiding pedophile priests.
Their leadership is not subject to prosecution under the sovereign immunity laws of our nation
because the Vatican is a recognized nation-state.)

Since we have been sanctified by the truth, let us remain separate for God's glory and purpose.
Let us pray, proclaim and contend earnestly for the faith.

Forever in Christ,
Mike Gendron

**********************
I thought everyone might find this interesting!! Mike Gendron preaches the gospel of Jesus.
He is
a former Roman Catholic I believe.

The Lutheran Church in America

Church
Lutheran bodies reaffirm Bible's stance on homosexuality
The heads of the second and third largest Lutheran bodies in the United States spoke out Monday against the recent actions of the largest in the land, the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, and affirmed their Bible-based belief that homosexuality is sinful.
by Joshua A Goldberg, Christian Post
Posted: Wednesday, August 26, 2009, 8:19 (BST)Font Scale:A A A
"To view same-sex relationships as acceptable to God is to place cultural viewpoint and human opinions above the clear Word of God," commented the Rev Mark Schroeder, president of the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod (WELS).

"The Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod, along with The Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod, the Evangelical Lutheran Synod, and other smaller Lutheran synods, maintains and upholds the clear teaching of the Bible that homosexuality is not in keeping with God's design and is sinful in God's eyes," he added.

On Friday, the chief legislative body of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) voted 559-451 to approve a resolution allowing gays and lesbians in “life-long, monogamous, same gender relationships” to be ordained.

Earlier in the week, during ELCA’s 2009 Church Assembly, delegates adopted a new social statement on human sexuality with exactly the number of votes (676 or two-thirds) needed to pass it. The statement, which emphasises trust and bound conscience, addresses a spectrum of topics relevant to human sexuality, including social structures, cohabitation, sexual exploitation, abuse, and homosexuality – the latter of which has drawn the most attention and controversy.

Opponents of the statement had argued that adopting the statement would constitute abandonment of Scripture, as the Bible does not support homosexual behaviour. Supporters, however, said the document maintain that it is consistent with the biblical command to care for one's neighbour and build trusting relationships.

Following the conclusions of last week’s biennial assembly, WELS’s president acknowledged that it is the Church's responsibility to show love and compassion to sinners. But he emphasised that this should not be done by condoning or justifying the sin, but by calling the sinner to repentance and by assuring the sinner that there is full forgiveness in Jesus Christ.

"We believe, and the Bible teaches, that God designed this relationship to be a blessing for men and women and for society. Any departure from what God himself has designed does two things: it denies the clear teachings of Scriptures and it undermines God's desire that the man/woman relationship in marriage be a blessing," added Schroeder, whose denomination consists of about 390,000 members and nearly 1,300 congregations nationwide.

ELCA, meanwhile, boasts a membership of 4.7 million, making it not only the largest Lutheran church body in the United States, but also the the fourth largest Protestant body.
************************8

RaynaRenee

Jesus came into this world to be a substitute for sinful man before Our Heavenly Father in heaven. He has become Righteousness, sanctification and redemption for all those that believe the words of scripture:

"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Begotten Son that whosoever believes in Him, shall not perish but have everlasting life" John 3:16

Is this the only reason Jesus came into the world? No!! Jesus came into this world to put an end to Satan, evil and death.

I John 3:
[8] He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.

Hebrews 2:
[14] Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;
[15] And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.

Jesus came also to destroy the devil and his works. So what does this mean? If God is going to destroy the devil, and sin, what about sinful man? Is he going to be destroyed also? No, God has provided a way of escape from destruction for those that believe Him, in that He gave the gift of His Son Jesus, that all who believe in Him, will be saved from eternal death, and from the wrath of God that is going to be poured our on the whole world. The devil and sin are going to be destroyed forever!!!

Satan is a liar, but in disguise, as He is a great deceiver. He appears as an angel of light, seeking peace, and all his ministers appear as ministers of righteousness, and for those that do not know their bibles, they will be easily deceived. He is like the serpent in the garden of Eden, very beguiling, seductive, convincing, cunning in words and beautiful in appearance, but is really evil disguised. Remember he can use lies or whatever it takes to trap the unwary, as he is the "Father of Lies".

God has provided a way of escape for those that accept His Son Jesus by faith alone. Jesus is the ark of God, that protects, guards, and provides for His children. God cannot use lies, and disguise, but can only present the "Truth". Jesus, is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. Noone can come come unto the Father except by Him.
He stands as the sinner's substitute before the Father that he may become an adopted child of God, by faith in Him. We learn this from the scriptures, which are the word of God. God is not a God that He can lie, but His word is the truth, and we can trust His word. All those that refuse the true gospel of Jesus, are out of the ark of safety, and will not have eternal life. They do not believe God's word, but the word of Satan, which is all lies. Only those that have the seal of God, which is given to those that believe the true gospel of Jesus will be safe in the terrible time coming on the world, when sin, Satan and evil will be destroyed.

Sin will not rise up again, ever!! God will make all things new, a new heavens and a new earth, with the eternal city, the New Jerusalem, which is the city God has built for His people. It shall come out of heaven down to the New Earth, and God shall make all things new again, like in the Beginning, with no sin, sorrow, death, tears, pain or crying. There we will live with the the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, the myriad of angels, and the redeemed of all ages. They shall reign forever and ever with Jesus. Sin shall be no more!! God will destroy Satan, sin, and all evil!!!!!!!!

So Jesus came to this earth to save people from the wrath of God that is going to be poured out on the whole earth. For those that reject His Son, and His mercy and grace given freely to sinful man in Him, they shall be separated eternally from Him. Jesus is the only way, and today is the day of Salvation.

May all that believe in Him and His completed work, rest eternally in Him from all their works to be accepted of the Father, as Jesus has completed the work, and saved them from the wrath of God, as Jesus bore God's wrath for them on Calvary, a one time event, never to be repeated, entered the grave, and overcame eternal death. He has brought eternal life, as a free gift from the Father, and protection from the wrath of God. He is at the right hand of God, where all things have been given into His hand by the Father. Jesus is our only mediator between man and God, as He is all Holy and Righteous, as there is no defilement in Him. He is our Savior, our friend, our intecessor, our helper in the time of need, our Protector, our Provider, our constant companion, our Keeper, and He has sent the Holy Spirit to reveal all this to us throught the word of God, the scriptures. He is the great I AM.

John 5:
[24] Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.

II Timothy I
[7] For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
[8] Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God;
[9] Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,
[10] But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel:

John 3:
[35] The Father loveth the Son, and hath given all things into his hand.
[36] He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

May we place our trust and faith in Him alone, as He is the Son of God, and we are accepted in the Beloved.

RaynaRenee
